People with lived experience of the income support system are at the heart of our campaign, working to lead political and social change.
We mobilise the power of our community to hold our leaders accountable, build an evidence base, and share our stories to change the narrative of poverty in Australia.
Together, we work alongside allies from community organisations, anti-poverty networks, unions, business groups, academics, and not-for-profit organisations to build an undeniable call for action.
Changing the story by sharing our personal experiences with the media, social media, and members of the public.
Mobilising our community to consistently apply pressure on politicians and demonstrate public support for action.
Direct advocacy to politicians, using evidence and analysis to continue to build the call for change.
Activating allies to use their influence, expertise and platform to advocate for our leaders to raise the rate for good.
Raise the Rate for Good is an initiative of the Australian Council of Social Service. ACOSS is a national advocate for action to reduce poverty and inequality and the peak body for the community services sector in Australia. Our vision is for a fair, inclusive and sustainable Australia where all individuals and communities can participate in and benefit from social and economic life.
